Serena Morgan
Newport native. Pratt Institute industrial design. Forager. Herbalist-in-training. Jewelry artist. The hands behind Serene Offerings of Vermont.

You can take the girl out of the country. Serena tried. Pratt Institute, New York, industrial design. The country came back with her.
Serene Offerings is what happens when a trained eye and a forager's patience share one worktable. Serena walks the same woods she grew up in — the Northeast Kingdom, the fields behind Newport, the river edges and the old orchards — and comes home to Main Street to make what the week allowed.
Some weeks that is a row of single-plant tinctures. Some weeks it is fire cider, with the kitchen sharp and bright for three days. Some weeks it is jewelry from the bench — copper, silver, and a Vermont stone, worked by hand. She does not separate the work. It all comes from the same place and the same hands.
She is in herbalism training through CommonWealth Holistic Herbalism, and she names her plants. She forages ethically — taking less than she leaves, asking permission of a place, knowing what is abundant and what is rare. She will not sell you a plant she cannot identify, and she will not make a medical claim about any of it.
You can find the booth most Saturdays at the Newport Farmers Market, and at craft fairs and festivals through the year — Burke, Stowe, Danville, Burlington, Barre. You can find the work on consignment at The Witches Brew and Hair By Ashley. And you can find Serena herself at 358 Main Street, by text, with the door open if you book ahead.
“The one thing I always come out of the woods with is peace, calm and happiness.”
The work, in order of how it happens
- 01
Forage
Walk the woods and fields of the Northeast Kingdom. Identify with certainty. Take less than is left. Know what is abundant and what is rare.
- 02
Make
Tinctures, oxymels, fire cider, infused honeys, jellies, pickles, salts, sauces, vinegars. Small-batch, by hand, in the Newport kitchen.
- 03
Forge
Jewelry from the bench. Copper, silver, Vermont stone. Found-form, not costume. One piece at a time.
- 04
Pack & share
Pack each order by hand. Bring it to the booth, the studio-home, or the post office. Answer the text.
Come find the booth, or text Serena.
The work is better in person. But it ships, too, and the studio-home is open by appointment.
These offerings are traditional botanical preparations and foods. They are not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease. Forage and consume only what you can identify with certainty.
